The Asian Education Foundation (AEF) is hosting the 2010 Asian Education Fair on Saturday, September 11, from 10 am to 4 pm in the open space in front of the Beaverton Library, 12375 S.W. Fifth St. (503-662-2233). The fair site will be adjacent to the Saturday Farmers’ Market. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their organizations to a large audience.

We welcome organizations and individuals that offer programs and lessons in Asian languages, arts, and cultures to attend this fair.

Purpose of the fair

  • To enhance cultural competence of young Americans by promoting the education of Asian languages and cultures
  • To elevate public awareness of organizations offering programs and courses in Asian studies including arts, cultures, and languages

Who are the vendors?

  • Asian Studies programs at local colleges and universities, and oriental medicine colleges
  • Asian language schools and programs; fine art, performing art and martial art studios; book stores; Asian culture museums and curio shops
  • Asian community organizations and news media

Who is the audience?

  • Parents and students of all ages from the Portland Metro area.

What do we provide?

  • Tents, tables, chairs and marketing promotion
